The increasing popularity of crownland camping has created some unexpected consequences. Garbage left by other campers has always been an issue but now human waste is becoming the next problem. Personally, I have an issue carrying out other campers’ plastic wrappers or occasional beer cans. If you pack it in you can pack it back out with you. Most users will collect other people’s trash left behind if they have room in their pack. I draw the line at carrying out other camper’s human waste.
Will adding facilities like a thunder box to deal with human waste make these campsites more attractive and therefore more popular? Should individuals like us take this kind of action? Please share your thoughts in the comment section.
