Thule Outdoor Club News returns with a winter-focused episode about skiing with kids, dog safety on the road, and cold-season adventures – hosted by snowboard legend Eero Ettala.
In the final episode of Season 1, we explore how families, athletes, and dogs stay active and safe outdoors when winter takes over.
Full story
Hosted by snowboarder and lifelong winter addict Eero Ettala, this episode brings together Olympic champions, freeride legends, and outdoor families to explore what winter adventure really looks like — from the slopes to the road, and all the way to Antarctica.
We start in the mountains with freeride icons Xavier and Beanie de Le Rue, sharing practical tips on how to ski safely with younger kids and build confidence on snow.
From there, ambassadors Jackie and Reine show how children can get ski-ready anywhere using simple balance and movement exercises at home.
Dog safety takes center stage as we sit down with experts and ambassadors to talk about why securing dogs in the car matters, how small decisions make a big difference, and how tested solutions help keep everyone safe on the road.
We then head back to the snow for skijoring, where skis, dogs, and teamwork come together in one of winter’s most playful activities, followed by a behind-the-scenes look at what it takes to produce a winter shoot in real conditions.
Finally, we travel to the edge of the world with Annie Ford, capturing rare footage from Antarctica during the solstice, before closing with Charlotte Kalla sharing how motherhood has reshaped her relationship with training and outdoor life.
This episode wraps up Season 1 of Thule Outdoor Club News: a season filled with skiing, biking, dog adventures, family life, adrenaline, and outdoor stories from around the world.
