This is my Saint Bernard Shasta who learned on her own to break into and out of my old house and into cabinets and dresser doors. She could even open the windows and let her self out and in. I had to bind the windows closed and lock the doors because several times found her walking down the street when I came home.
Half of the video is where I setup a hidden camera to find out what she does all day by herself. Home Alone Movie Dog Version. Discovered she scratches up doors, sleeps on my bed, wipes her self off on it, eats cookies on it, and opens the front door and windows and gets out.
The other half of the video is us having some fun with a Halloween mask and filming her like she's a Sons Of Anarchy Motorcycle Club member, but she's part of the Sons Of Bitches Dog Club instead; coming from the Dog Pound. She trusts me and I did not make her wear it too much as she did not like it. Put the video to a Thug Life theme and hope you enjoy it and don't get offended. Also having some fun with Photoshop.
I live in a nice new house now and unfortunately it has the same lever style action handles. I leave the cabinet doors ajar so she won't scratch them up when she tries opening them. She opens dresser doors also, for no other reason than she can. Nothing is ever pulled out. Maybe she is missing me and wants to smell my clothes. She has terrible separation anxiety, but its better due to routine and knowing I'll come home.
She helps herself to dog cookies when hungry but does not over indulge. I leave the cookie box open so she can get to them in case anything should happen to me. I also leave the house doors ajar when I'm home and luckily have a sealed in yard so if she escapes, she can't go anywhere.
Shasta is very smart and super nice as you have seen in previous videos. Still plan on repeating another self awareness video of her. My new house does not have walled mirrors so I have two large mirrors I'll use to demonstrate her awareness. Been working other projects. but, she is always doing something interesting. I'll capture it and post when I can.
