Representative Gregory W. Meeks, Ranking Member of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, will convene Committee Democratic Members for a shadow hearing entitled, “Thrown into Chaos: The Dismantling of USAID and its Real-Life Consequences.”

During this hearing, Members will hear from individuals working at USAID who the Trump administration removed suddenly from their posts. The panelists will share how critical programs they supported were disrupted, how these cuts weakened national security, and how Trump’s actions have jeopardized America's soft power.
