yep we're done. this was by far the worst grind i've ever done, but it was fun though. the frustration, the hatred and the relief. those 3 feelings were a part of this 55+ hour grind. now louis has to kaizo 3 bowser.
LONG TEXT BELOW:
but how hard was this? i'll detail the hardest parts for me, and why. if you wonder why i picked this over gh3 chart, this is my answer: while this chart was harder (for me), it was more fun than GH3's chart. the lack of grace notes makes this better to execute, and everything feels very consistent except for solo c and outro. i am also better at hitting forced strums patterns instead of those hopo/strums, just like how the ENTIRE FUCKING GH3 CHART IS.
hardest parts:
1:23 - it's not too bad, but i spent some time finding the best method for it. alt tapping did it pretty well, but since it's kinda confusing when you look at it, it took some time for me to get used to the pattern.
3:09 - i could get this transition 10 times in a row in practice mode. but doing it after 3 minutes is stressful, and i only could get it 3/4 of the runs. most of my mistakes were by panicking and tapping before strumming the last note. learning the method was not easy either because how the pattern is structured (anchor green, fret R Y and alt tap B R Y B Y B O Y B O was bugging my brain). same issue in the outro.
4:07 - surprisingly the transition from 200bpm strumming to 170bpm is REALLY chokeable. got me in a few runs.
4:52 - i hate how this part is charted, and that strum note in the middle of a bizarre tapping pattern is really unpleasant. i couldn't elbow strum because i got overstrums quite often.
5:04 - this is really easy to miss as well :)
5:30 - infamous solo c. this is so bad, clone hero often eats your strum notes when they're too close to hopos, so i had to be really precise. at first i had a rake strum method but it was not great to execute and it was fucking up my index finger, so i decided to brute force the hard way.
6:03 - 32nd notes were really easy to miss as well, you gotta be really quick with the tapping here. in practice it's not bad, but when you're 6 minutes in the song, it's hard to not panic.
the rest of the solo is fine, nothing amazing about it.
7:06 - this part is not that bad but if you fret too fast you'll miss a lot. this is another part that i hate how it's charted, but it is what it is.
7:16 - this is the worst thing i've ever learned in my entire life. i had one choke in here and i felt my soul dying. the transition from the first strumming to tapping is awful. the pattern is hideous. it lasts 5 seconds but it feels like an hour. this is the worst part of the song by far.
other than that it was really fun and i'm glad it's over.

Bad optimization, could be better...
My best improvement was in the switch palace room (After the water room), because I did the wall jump instead of doing a shell jump.
