The new Throne & Liberty expansion has introduced some amazing content, but it has also created a massive pay-to-win problem.
Before the expansion, P2W was mainly concentrated around a few systems. Now, players have to deal with Watermark progression, traits, resonance stones, enchantments, weapon enchantments, skill cores, massive Sollant costs, Archboss weapons and more.
The number of major P2W progression systems has increased from around 3 to 8 β a 100% increase β while the cost of maintaining multiple builds has become almost impossible for many free-to-play players.
In this video, I break down exactly how much more pay-to-win Throne & Liberty has become, why the new expansion has made the problem worse, and why the developers need to fix these systems before more players quit.
The expansion has huge potential, but if progression continues in this direction, it could seriously hurt the future of the game.
