This video documents an afternoon thrifting and finding a pair of black Allen Edmonds Fifth Avenue quarter brogue cap toe Oxfords for $7.50 plus tax. These pair feature Dainite rubber soles and heels. The heels were pretty worn out, so I purchased a brand new pair of size 3-3/8" wide Dainite heels from the eBay seller "herdzcosupplies" for $24.50 a pair. I wound up removing the heel bases from the shoes as well, because they were separating from the soles. I reattached the heel bases with fresh glue and more nails, and installeed the new Dainite heel top lifts. In this video I give you some of my best tips for those of you looking for some good deals while thrifting.
