I love the hunt of thrifting, and sometimes a minor alteration can make a big difference! Most of these pieces get overlooked because people are looking for immediate perfection. I found my carbon copy of the receipt! Keep in mind this will vary based on where you live, the skill of the person doing the alterations, business competition in the area, and a number of other factors. I've gone to the dry cleaners for very simple alterations like hemming trousers.
