Woodshop Junkies | Three Phase To Single Phase Conversion - VFD(Drive) vs Motor Replacement? @WoodshopJunkies | Uploaded August 2020 | Updated October 2024, 2 days ago.
To use my new (old) Wadkin table saw I needed to convert the existing 3 phase configuration to be able to operate from the single-phase supply at my home.
To do this, I needed to decide between using a VFD (Variable Frequency Drive) or, the more expensive option, replacing the motor entirely.
