A residential fire on Bent Mountain in Roanoke County injured three people early Tuesday morning, September 1. Firefighters spent approximately 45 minutes extinguishing the blaze at a home on Fortune Ridge Road. While all injuries were considered non-life-threatening, one victim was flown to VCU Medical Center for further evaluation. Six residents and two pets were displaced from the home, with the American Red Cross providing assistance.
