It’s time to get this longarm ready to stitch!
In Part 2 of Bethany McCue’s Janome Longarm Maker journey, she takes the next steps in getting to know her longarm quilting machine. Bethany walks through threading the machine and loading fabric onto the frame so she can start practicing.
She finds that threading the machine is easier than expected, and the built-in threading guide is a helpful resource as she gets started.
She also puts her secret magnet tip from Part 1 to work! By using magnets with the leaders, Bethany can avoid using pins in certain parts of the setup — helping save her fingers from those dreaded pin pricks. 👀
Rather than waiting for the “perfect” quilt, Bethany uses scrap fabric so she can start playing with her machine and getting comfortable with longarm quilting right away.
The machine is threaded, the fabric is loaded, and now it’s time to start stitching!
