Colour has a huge effect on sewing and quilting projects. It can help to create a mood, feeling, or aesthetic that we you have in mind. But how do you decide what colours to use in a project? Well this is where the fundamentals of colour theory can really come in handy. The more you know about different colour schemes, and how to use them the easier it is to choose colours for each project. That's why we're starting the Thread Colour Theory series, where we will walk you through the fundamentals of colour theory, and how you can apply them to quilting or sewing projects.
This week we will be talking about Analogous colour schemes! Analogous colour schemes are pleasing, and calming to the eye. Great for simplifying complex designs, or quilts that you want to have a relaxing feel.
