"The Yemeni Armed Forces are still carrying out their operations continuously and choosing their targets carefully. They have the ability to arm themselves, as well as the ability to achieve their goals. They have a data bank, and the ability to reach their targets. The armed forces will continue with this stance as long as the Zionist aggression on Gaza and Lebanon continues."

STORYLINE:
Thousands of Yemeni protesters took to the streets of the capital Sanaa following Friday prayers to express their support for the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip as well as Lebanon amid heavy Israeli airstrikes.

The Houthi rebels have been organizing protests nearly every Friday since the start of the war in Gaza.

The protest this time comes as the war in the besieged territory nears its one-year mark.

It also comes as Israel has dramatically intensified its airstrikes in Lebanon since Monday.

Israeli bombardment in Lebanon this week, claiming to be targeting Hezbollah facilities, has killed more than 720 people and wounded more than 2,000 others, according to the country's health ministry.

Hezbollah in turn has fired hundreds of rockets into Israel, saying they are targeting Israeli military positions. Several people in Israel have been wounded.

Israel launched a massive military offensive in Gaza following the Hamas-led attack into southern Israel on Oct. 7 in which some 1,200 people, mostly civilians, were killed, and some 250 were taken hostage.

Israel’s retaliatory offensive has killed more than 41,000 Palestinians in Gaza, according to local officials.

The war in besieged Gaza has also displaced roughly 90% of the strip’s population of 2.3 million.
