📍Haiti | Since mid-June, the security situation in Cité Soleil has continued to deteriorate, with entire neighborhoods living under the constant threat of near-daily armed clashes, resulting in people being injured or killed.
Over 5,000 people have been forced to flee, while those who remain are cut off from access to water, food, and essential supplies. Health care services are severely disrupted, with some hospitals forced to close.
The most vulnerable, such as pregnant women, children, and the wounded, are bearing the heaviest burden of this crisis.
Marisela Silva, ICRC's head of delegation in Haiti, shares.
