Scrappy Kathy | Thousand Moments || Scrap a Sketch Premium Monday || Scrap Backwards Weekly Page @scrappykathy | Uploaded May 2024 | Updated October 2024, 1 hour ago.
I started with a premium sketch I fell in love with as soon as I saw it -- and I knew it'd be a "John page" -- and I saw it as a chance to use the leftovers from the heart templates from a Paige Evans class at the Crafty Beach Bash. And naturally that led me to pick some of my favorite of her papers from my kit. Those supplies have been simmering on the back burner for a few days and today I saw this Story People painting by Brian Andreas called Thousand Moments -- and it perfectly tied into the resurgence of grief I've felt lately, but with a bit of an uplifting message, as in "it's never too late to be thankful for those thousand scattered moments, after all". When I looked for a photo I saw this one that James must've taken on a Mother's Day outing maybe 5 or 6 years ago and he had it in a group of photos with his Happy Mother's Day post -- and maybe that's where the grief sprang up from? Perfect day but something -- someone -- was missing.
Anyway -- I love the simplicity of this page, and also how colorful it is. And the hearts in the sketch couldn't be more appropriate for what I wanted this page to express.
Thanks for watching and I'll see you later today with my daily LOAD page.
