This is a video adaptation of a review I wrote on Backloggd: backloggd.com/u/tdstr/review/2672118

Recently I upgraded the version of Vegas I was using and now it runs *way* better, which was one of the biggest things keeping me away from editing. With this I decided to try and edit together a very dry YouTube counterpart to a script I'd already written, and this is the result. Most of the video game video essays I like watching these days look like this anyways, so the lack of flair is not entirely out of laziness.

For a first shot, it went smoothly and quickly enough that I'll likely do more in the future with other games that I feel I have interesting things to say about. It'll probably all be companions to existing text reviews for the time being, though.

Sometimes I feel most of the games writing I do gets lost on a site without a ton of people on it, so consider this video and any future ones as a way to bring it to a larger audience. I feel like I've been writing about them long enough to develop a pretty good critical voice, even if I haven't read any of these scripts out loud before. Maybe this will confuse the algorithm even more about what my channel is, but I don't mind that much, given I've already pivoted what it's for about 3 times in the past and things still do fine. Be sure to let me know if you really want these to be on the alternate channel I never use instead, though.
