Yes, you are reading it correctly: Thought Chamber, the mighty prog metallers from San Francisco, California, are back with a new album.
The spiritual child of composer & guitarist Michael Harris has already offered two pieces of progressive excellence: the debut album Angular Perceptions (released in 2007), and their second full-length Psykerion (released in 2013).
Their third album, Myst of Lyriad, is here. It was already released in digital format through Lion Music on August 22nd, 2025. The album will be released on CD in two editions. The US edition will be released on Michael Harris' own label, Imminent Music Force. The European edition will be released by Arkeyn Steel Records and will include three bonus tracks not available on the digital and US CD editions.
The core band remains the same as on Thought Chamber's previous Psykerion record, featuring composer & guitarist Michael Harris (Darkology, ex-Arch Rival, ex-Vitalij Kuprij, solo artist for 35+ years - Michael has written 20 albums of globally released music); Bill Jenkins on keyboards (also in Enchant); Mike Haid on drums (formerly of David Chastain & Michael Harris solo records); and Jeff Plant on bass (Jimi Tunnell; Vast Conduit: Marcelo Berestovoy).
The album features multiple lead vocalists, including Travis Wills (Crimson Glory, Infidel Rising), Devon Graves (Psychotic Waltz), and John Jaycee Cuijpers (Trans-Siberian Orchestra).
Musically, the album explores the beautiful dreamscapes of melody and complexity that are well known to all Thought Chamber fans worldwide. A mystical journey from progressive rock to progressive metal — not to be missed!

Electric Stardom is the third album of the Greek guitar virtuoso and songwriter, Costas Varras, featuring the excellent voices of Mark Boals (Yngwie Malmsteen, Ring of Fire etc) and Goran Edman (Yngwie Malmsteen, John Norum, Brazen Abbot, Time Requiem, Madison etc).
Varras is the solo project of the Greek guitar virtuoso and Electric Stardom is a piece of neoclassical mastery that can easily be described as the biggest step in the musicians career so far.
In 1999 Costas Varras formed his first band: Perpetual. In 2004 Perpetual released one of the most important albums in the Greek Neoclassical Metal scene: Overlords Perpetual. In 2006 Costas Varras moved to Hollywood, California and in 2008 he graduated from Musicians Institute, reforming his band in L.A. In 2009 he traveled to Kent, England, to record an album with Chris Tsangarides, unfortunately, this album was never released. In 2017, he entered the studio of Bob Katsionis, and together they recorded the album Neon-Classical that was released one year later under the musicians name: Costas Varras. The Rock You Hard single release followed in 2020 featuring Mark Boals on vocals.
All those years of hard work, experience, and co-operation are reflected in Electric Stardom. Varras is simply delivering a piece of neoclassical heaven presenting his best compositions so far. Power, melody, and emotion are combined on a brilliant album that is already getting huge reviews from the international press, as it was digitally released on Lion Music. Steel Gallery Records releases the album on CD, featuring an exclusive bonus track: Palisha, a baroque, acoustic ballad featuring the vocals of the mighty Mark Boals. Bob Katsionis also adds his keyboard magic to the album, working one more time with Costas Varras.
So, get ready for an experience of absolute neoclassical greatness as it is captured on masterpieces like The Tears of the World, Electric Stardom and Concerto in G Minor RV 578.
