Pastor Adam Summers returns to preach on the third commandment "Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain" (Exodus 20:7). Going far deeper than profanity, this message examines four ways believers violate this commandment without realizing it: misusing God's name in oaths and promises; performing religious activity under the false pretense it's for God when it's really for man; claiming to speak for God when He hasn't spoken; and using God's name to cloak disobedience and claim divine approval for ungodly choices. Pastor Summers closes with a pointed and personal challenge about the careless, mindless use of God's name even in prayer and everyday conversation.
