When you say only "those type of people" take transit, we know what you're talking about... but that's pretty crazy that that's even the case.
Because we as a society should be working AS HARD AS POSSIBLE to be getting everyone who CAN take public transit more to do so.
This isn't just a "hippie thing to do to save the planet," it's just straight up beneficial to EVERYONE, including those who NEED or WANT to drive.
Because more people on transit means less traffic for everyone.

![How escooters might be banned overnight
London City Councillors came ONE VOTE away from banning e-scooters overnight with essentially zero public consultation and near-zero awareness, back in November. And theres another vote coming up in May that could see electric scooters fully banned... overnight.
Public feedback is open until March 31st, 2026 and you should take a few moments of your time to fill it out: https://getinvolved.london.ca/e-scooter
Anyway, in this video, I break down exactly who voted to ban them and counter their flawed arguments.
Council should probably start using some data-centric methods in the future instead of just guess or going with the wind. My data (pulled from city staff and LHSC reports) proves e-scooters arent the problem here.

![How Your Taxes Will Explode While Developers Make Millions
Londons making the same of mistake that will keep all of our property taxes (which also means rents) going up forever. Councils struggling to get 2026s property taxes increases down to 5% already. Heres the thing: cities growing is totally fine! But cities committing to sprawling is NOT okay.
One of the tools that the City of London uses to control city bounds is an Urban Growth Boundary. Its really important, but Land Developers have been endlessly lobbying to loosen this border as much as they can because it makes their jobs easier. At the surface, this might seem like a good idea (especially with the housing crisis). “Easier” sounds better… but its not. And it wont actually help with the housing or affordability crisis, either.
This video is a deep dive into this issue.
