UPDATE: YouTube apparently turns off links on shorts so if you want to visit the link you may have to copy into browser. They CLAIM this is to prevent fraud but given its allowed on non-short videos this excuse does not pass the smell test. More likely it is so you won't stop scrolling through shorts and they continue to keep you glued to the platform for add revenue. If you had links you may leave the platform for a couple minutes to visit the link. In this way YouTube puts itself over its creators and customers once again.
