This year's retreat is about depth. 🌊
I knew Hair Love would be different. I was in Tulum in January of 2022 and I declared to my team, we were going biannually. I needed to do something different for 2023. I wasn't sure what was being brought forward but it wasn't bigger. It wasn't louder. It wasn't more. 🔄
I even renamed the event last fall. Had a new type of venue and tried to launch it. The universe said "SIT DOWN. PAUSE." 🛑
I listened. The venue literally said, "sorry we are doing construction those dates. Here's your money back." And let me tell you something... venues NEVER give money back. Old me would have pushed and forced and panicked to make it work. 🚧
New me.... she listened. She sat in the pause. I didn't launch what I thought was the new version of Hair Love retreat for 2023. Months went by and I sat with what is it that is coming through??? 🗓️
It wasn't clear but I could see the light. I went through the most wild quarter 3 & 4. Sooooo many things in my life... beautiful things... let me go. Sooo many chapters ended. The shifting showed me what wasn't mine to hold anymore, what was ready to be released, fly on to new adventures and that I was craving space. I was craving simplicity. I was craving DEPTH not width. 📚
And as I watched so many things let me go. I sat in my fall, which then became winter and said I know a beautiful spring is coming. I trust this process. Old Elizabeth would not have had a nervous system that could hold this kind of next level trust. She wasn't able to lead like this yet. 🌸
And in the stillness... months and months later the clarity dropped in with such ease, peace, and potency. 🌟
Hair Love is happening but in a very different way. 💇♀️💖
It is more stripped down. Deeply intimate. Incredibly potent. And damnnnn will be delicious. Back to the roots of why we started, how we started... MIXED with what I know TRANSFORMS NOW! 💯
NO big stage. NO massive lineup. NO 150 humans. 🚫
Don't get me wrong I adore the energy, fun, and buzz of all of that. But this year it wasn't the vibe. 🎉
Less than 50 humans. Depth. Conversational high-level learning. Dynamic topics. Business mastermind workshops. Intimate hair classes but not too many. Breathwork. Conscious leaders in the hair industry. Depth. Not width. Sometimes less is MORE potent. Simplicity is powerful. 🔥
