Sveaverken has been making high-end agricultural equipment for over 100 years, and now they’re bringing some of that tech to the backyard. The Blix uses a LIDAR navigation system (called LAR), which means:
No buried perimeter wire
No RTK satellite antenna
No signal dropouts because of clouds / trees / aliens
It just… works. Always.
This mower maps your yard by driving it like a remote-control car, learns your terrain, avoids obstacles, and can mow day or night with the same accuracy. And with the massive battery + fast recharge, it can mow an entire large lawn in a single day.
I’ve tested a lot of robot mowers — boundary wire mowers, RTK mowers, cheap ones, expensive ones — and this is the first one I didn’t have to babysit. Less tinkering = more not mowing, and I love not mowing.
