Gary Hughes came across an image that made him stop scrolling.
It looked like something created with AI… but it wasn’t. It was captured in-camera, live, in front of an audience.
After connecting with the original photographer, James Musselwhite, Gary set out to see if he could recreate the effect himself. What followed was a mix of trial, experimentation, and a reminder that some of the most compelling images come from simply trying something new.
