My opinion a year later is still the same, except for the following:
- 3 is actually pretty good if you play it on Easy. Story's still not anything special but at least it does a better job of Kiryu becoming a father than 6 tried to do.
- 7 there's a lot of cutscenes. It's rather slow.
- 6 Story and gameplay is pretty meh 'cause Kiwami 2 is just 6 but better and then also because I still hate children. Soundtrack is good but the audio balancing is terrible on PS4 so you can't ever hear the music. Pretty much the reason why I never thought highly of it originally. But also because there are a lot of songs but simultaneously not many songs.
- Lost Judgment makes every other RGG title look like it was made by one dude with a budget of 2 rubber bands and a Styrofoam cup
- I made the video before beating Judgment but after beating it three times it still is incredibly fun
- 5 is a lot slower than I remember
- I have played the PS2 games and would not recommend them still as they are old. You can still enjoy them but if you just want the story just play the Kiwami games. Or if you're confident with your Japanese you can play the HD versions like I did where you don't have to have a fist fight with the camera whenever you're in a battle. Well, you still kinda do, but not as much. Only play the PS2 games if you're a fan, not if you want to get into the series.
- Fist of the North Star Lost Paradise is possibly the second worst gaming experience I have ever had in my entire life so I'm glad I didn't play it for this video. Imagine watching paint dry except you have to be the one to dry the paint. That's the game. But then also the paint goes "atatatatatatatat"
- If I did rate any of the Japan only games I would put Ishin probably above Like a Dragon. It has its flaws but it was really fun.
- I'm not playing Dead Souls unless they put it on PC and make the movement and shooting like Modern Warfare 2019 which they will never do. But also it'd be difficult to record as my PS3 is broken and PS3 emulation tends not to look too nice.
- I'm overly critical because I like all of the games (except for Fist of the North Star) so I don't hate the games. Just Haruto from Yakuza 6 and Yasuko from Yakuza 4. I hate them more than I hate Lost Paradise.
