I went camping in the Adirondacks and I figured I would hike up a mountain, but I wasn't sure which one I wanted to do. Around 3:30am I couldn't sleep so I took out my map and decided to hike up Giant Mountain (aptly named) to see the sunrise. I realized pretty quickly that I underestimated how long it would take to reach the summit as the sun rose at least an hour before I reached the summit. The hike up the mountain was only 3 miles, but it also ascends about 1,000ft. per mile or about 190 meters per kilometer so I don't think I realized just how steep that was lol.
But this video almost never happened because my camera went missing shortly after I reached the bottom of the mountain. One week later after trying to find my camera knowing that the odds of ever seeing my camera again were only getting slimmer I caught a lucky break and I actually recovered it! Whoever the good samaritan is who recovered my camera I am eternally grateful. Thank you.
