The Ubiquiti US-8-150W switch is known for power supply failures, and no replacement PSU is sold. In this video, I show the easiest way to repair the #ubiquiti US-8-150W using a Mean Well power supply.
The Ubiquiti US-8-150W PoE switch is a powerhouse, but many fail due to power supply issues caused by sustained PoE loads from access points and cameras. Unfortunately, Ubiquiti does not sell a direct replacement power supply.
In this video, I show a simple, reliable way to repair the US-8-150W using an off-the-shelf Mean Well power supply with minor modifications. This keeps solid networking hardware out of the landfill and saves significant money compared to replacing the switch.
I also explain when this repair makes sense and when it doesn’t, so you can decide if repairing an older UniFi switch is right for your network.
