After several storms knocked down trees around our property, this one looked like it could be next. Rather than waiting for Mother Nature to decide where it would fall, I decided it was time to bring it down in a controlled manner.
It’s been years since I’ve felled a tree, and my chainsaw definitely needs a good sharpening, but careful planning and safety were the priorities. Before making a single cut, I assessed the lean of the tree, the surrounding obstacles, and the direction I wanted it to fall.
The result? A perfect drop exactly where I intended it to go… although it may look a little closer to the chairs than I would have liked!
