I'm absolutely loving the new U5G from Unifi as a backup internet solution. At my home office I often have internet hiccups that send me offline from 1-2 minutes. Not the end of the world, but certainly annoying when I'm in a meeting or a productive block. That said, I wasn't going to be spending a ton of money to solve this problem. But with Unifi's new U5G, I get a sleek backup internet device for only $99 + 20 bucks a month. Is it super fast? No. Does it replace my main internet? No. But for that low of a price point it's definitely worth saving me the headache of those connectivity hiccups a few times a day.
