his looks like a normal, vintage home telephone. It’s known as the Trimphone but it wasn’t normal at all. In fact, it became the centre of a set of reoccurring nuclear radiation scandals in the 1980’s and 1990’s due to something tiny contained inside it.
The Trimphone was originally manufactured with a luminous dial that contained radioactive tritium.
