This Rust wipe started off rough… but one mistake turned into the most profitable base I’ve had in months. After getting destroyed early wipe, I finally placed a tiny starter base without realizing I had built right next to Outpost on one of the busiest roads on the entire Rust map.
Players farming barrels would run past my base with full inventories of components, scrap, and early game loot… and that’s when things took a turn. I set up a hidden trap base using concealed auto turrets in the trees, and within hours they were dropping hundreds of players. My boxes filled faster than I could sort them.
But in Rust, tilting half the server comes with consequences, and eventually, the angry players came back with rockets.
In today’s video, I show how this accidental trap base turned into the easiest scrap farm ever, how the auto turret strategy works, and what happens when the entire server wants revenge.
