Even after full-time RVing for over 10 years, we’re still finding new, weird problems we’ve never dealt with before—and this one caught us completely off guard.
We were doing a routine black tank flush (like we’ve done hundreds of times), when we suddenly discovered water pouring out the side of the RV… and pooling an inch deep in the basement.
The crazy part? Nothing was broken. The culprit was a vacuum breaker—a part almost every RV has—and it was technically working exactly like it’s supposed to. But under the wrong conditions? It can flood your rig from the inside.
