Today I’m taking on a beautiful piece of golden Georgia Jasper and reducing it from a rough tab of raw material into a finished biface.
This material has an incredible golden color, but the real surprise is how well it works. Georgia Jasper can be tough to work, but this particular piece produced some incredibly clean flakes and was a pleasure to knapp.
Watch as I take this golden chunk of stone through the reduction process and see what I can pull out of it!
If you enjoy flintknapping, primitive technology, arrowhead making, stone tools, and experimenting with different knappable materials, be sure to subscribe to Gulf Coast Knapping.
