It's hard to believe that Natalie Wood (July 20, 1938 - November 29, 1981) would be 84 years old now. This is a tribute to the film which was one of her personal favorites, in part because she always wanted to play a Tennessee Williams heroine. This was based on his one-act play, and Natalie once again was teamed with her friend Robert Redford; the supporting cast included Kate Reid, Mary Badham, Charles Bronson, and Robert Blake, and it was directed by Sydney Pollack. Although the film was a flop at the time of its original release, it has gained a following and an appreciation, especially among Natalie fans. The background music is the song from the film, "Wish Me A Rainbow" written by Jay Livingston and Ray Evans, here performed by The Gunter Kallman Chorus; the clip at the end is of Mary Badham singing the song at the film's conclusion.
