Mahi Madness in Marathon, Florida! 🎣🌴
We headed offshore out of Marathon in the Florida Keys looking for mahi-mahi, and when we finally found the right piece of floating structure, things got crazy fast.
One pallet was absolutely loaded with life, and we ended up catching around 15–16 mahi in roughly 25 minutes. Multiple rods were going off, fish were swimming all around the boat, and it turned into the kind of offshore bite you hope to find every time you fish the Keys.
In this video, we’ll show you how we searched for mahi, what we were looking for offshore, why floating debris can be so productive, and some of the techniques that helped us keep the school around the boat.
The Florida Keys are one of my favorite places to fish because you never really know what you’re going to run into. Mahi, wahoo, amberjack, tripletail and plenty of other species can all show up when you start exploring offshore.
