In Part 2 of our van build, we finish installing the wood ceiling and tackle the hardest part yet: cutting around vents and the MaxxAir fan. The van roof isn’t evenly shaped, nothing lines up perfectly, and at several points we seriously questioned this decision.
We’re hiding the yellow insulation, dealing with gaps, slopes, and uneven widths, and figuring things out as we go. Some bits were easy. Others took hours longer than planned. If you’re doing a DIY van conversion, this is the real side of installing a van ceiling.
