Welcome back to the fireside... Today's story is about the brand new GoldenEye 007 World Record achieved by PerfectAce, Train 00 Agent 1'47. In his speedrun, achieved October 2nd, 2024, he uses an unconventional method, which involved leaving on the console for several days at a time, to possibly (though unknowably) reducing lag on the stage. But does it really work? Or is it all a placebo? And what might this tell us about the future of GoldenEye 007 speedrunning?
