Alex Walker Smith writes music for film, animation, and video games. He's also a professional voice actor, playing characters in video games and animations, and sometimes the "every man" in commercials. He grew up in a family of musicians, so was surrounded by genres ranging from baroque to modern vocal jazz. He gravitated toward classical piano and film scores, and was particularly influenced by the works of Danny Elfman. After college, He began working as a composer and voice actor with animators on YouTube. He later landed a full-time position as a composer at a game audio company called SomaTone, where he worked on a plethora of games, including mobile, computer, and AAA titles. After he left SomaTone, he moved to Los Angeles to become a full-time freelance voice actor and composer. He still does commissioned work, but he's also building his own game audio company, a partnership we call Givit Sound!
