The Sony PSX is one of the most unique PS2 consoles ever made… but it has a fatal flaw. Once the hard drive fails, the entire system becomes unusable, and you just can’t replace the hard drive due to Sony’s encryption. In this video, I install the ATA Express which bypasses Sony’s hard drive encryption which can allow us to bring a “dead” PSX back to life using modern solid state storage, which could be a huge step forward for preserving these rare systems. Could this finally be the ultimate PS2 solution? Let’s find out!
