Installing heat-set inserts into 3D prints can be fiddly, especially if you’re trying to keep them straight and get consistent results.
In this video, I’m testing the Mintion heat-set insert tool to see whether a dedicated setup really makes installing threaded inserts easier, quicker and more accurate.
I’ll take a look at how the tool works, get it set up and put it through some real-world tests on 3D printed parts to see whether it’s actually worth using over a standard soldering iron.
