This stunning space wasn’t designed as a traditional renovation — it was created as a fully immersive art installation. The team behind Sculpting Living Spaces are sculptural artists who wanted to transform the room into a sanctuary that feels elemental, organic, and emotionally grounding — more like entering a carved grotto than a constructed interior.
The design draws inspiration from stone formations, ancient spaces, and the calming movement of water. The floor was built in sculptural layers to feel fluid and alive, while still being strong enough to function as a true living surface. They used Stone Coat flooring epoxy as the medium to bring that vision forward.
"Stone Coat products allowed us to push that vision in a way we couldn’t have achieved otherwise. The clarity, workability, and strength of the system gave us the freedom to build depth in layers, control movement, and achieve a finish that feels both refined and raw at the same time.
