This isn’t just any lake—it’s an IMPACT CRATER! 💥🌍
What makes this place so cool is that it wasn’t originally one lake… it was TWO. But after being dammed up, it formed a perfect ring, an annular lake. From the ground, it might look like any other lake, but from satellite imagery, the impact crater shape is SO obvious. 👀✨
That island in the middle? It’s actually the second-largest lake island in the world! (The largest is over in Lake Huron… maybe we’ll visit that next! 😉)
