Hello my lovely folks! How’s your Lent going? Yes… It’s me again being crazily in love with Prince of Egypt hahhahaha, but I think that this multi was so necessary.
It is so unusual to see a reprise where the emotions need to be different, so I found really interesting to make a two-lines multilanguage of both songs that Moses sings in his movie, so we can notice his development from a doubting young man trying to convince himself of his power to a humble God’s chosen who is sad of seeing how the stubbiness and pride of one of the person he once loved with all his life is causing that bunch of devastation in his homeland.
Which one do you think that shows better the transition of emotions in his line?
For me English, Portuguese (EU), Cantonese and Swedish in that order! The rest did an amazing job but their voice is almost the same register, the three aforementioned transmit in an astonishing way how their feelings are not the same in both lines. What do you think?
Btw: I’ve tried so hard to find out who is the Ukrainian singer but nobody seems to know. Someone told me that he is Alexey Myasnikov (The same as Russian) but I’m not sure at all cause they sound totally different, so I didn’t put his name. If any of you know who is he, please let me know. Besides, I’m going to do another OLM of Moses in summer including the Flemish version because on this one I couldn’t find ANYWHERE “All I’ve ever wanted” in that version, neither the singer. So if you know who is he as well, I’ll be so grateful if you let me know.
