Beginner quilting tip that confuses a LOT of people.

When you turn a square on point, it doesn’t become a diamond.

It’s still a square with four equal sides and four 90° angles.

A true diamond has different angles, and that changes how you align pieces when sewing.

Mixing these up is one of the easiest ways to end up with blocks that don’t line up.
