Books Behind Bars is a volunteer-run prison project that provides books to those incarcerated in New Jersey prisons. As someone who’s continually tried to find ways to help those who are incarcerated, I’m glad I found this organization to pass along books to people who deserve access to literature.

I encourage you to find programs and initiatives that donate books to those in need. It’s a fantastic way to fight against overconsumption and clear your shelves while knowing the books you parted with are going into good hands.
