Taking your memories, or textures you see in the world around you and turning those into art doesn't have to be complicated. Sometimes it's about developing it layer by layer, slowly, patiently...and getting lost in the moment. That's what art is about - it's a feeling. It's deeper than just materials and a tutorial.
Tuscany is one of those places that creeps into my soul. This monoprint made on a gelli arts gel plate is no different. Just acrylic paint, a brayer, and a gel plate - a flood of memories built up layer by layer, ending in a frameable piece of art that I connect with and ultimately turn into two handmade cards to send to people that I love.
