Tristram Shandy by Laurence Sterne is so delightful. Written in 1760s, it is the wackiest novel you will ever read. Laurence Sterne, an anglican priest himself, a job that requires you to be serious and … stern does the opposite, he pokes fun of people, life, but most importantly modernity or the age of rationality. In this video I will summarise the novel, and discuss some of its themes. But first let me tell you a bit about Laurence Sterne himself.
