The tarantula genus Agnostopelma inhabits regions in the province of Boyaca in Colombia around 2500 to 2800 meters above sea level (mentioned it a fifth time, ha!), which makes them an elusive tarantula. Enjoy this tarantula field trip expedition - A new genus and species on our list of photographed wild tarantulas!

The most fascinating part of this Agnostopelma tota, documented near Lake Tota, is their sheer lack of motivation to move. THEY ARE SLOW. Like all the time - it seems they can't be quick and even throw their urticating hairs at such slow speeds that we doubt they even get lost from their abdomen.
