A new Godzilla anime series was announced at Anime Festival Asia Singapore 2025, produced by Toho Animation in collaboration with Orange and Igloo Studio. Instead of focusing on Godzilla himself, the show centers on a teenage boy who inherits Godzilla’s powers which is a first for the franchise. As of now, there’s no official title, release date, or detailed plot beyond the core premise. The creators say the series aims to explore “fear and hope” by reimagining Godzilla through a youthful protagonist, signaling a fresh, more character-driven direction for the legendary monster.
