What an absolute privilege to sit down with the world's leading expert in Sparta: professor Paul Cartledge. Not only is Paul Cartledge a Cambridge professor with an unbelievable amount of published academic articles and non-fiction books under his belt, but he was also made AN HONOURARY CITIZEN OF SPARTA right before his sixtieth birthday!? It truly doesn't get any better than that.

Today, Professor Cartledge kindly gave me a few minutes of his time in between his lectures to chat about the *peculiar* aspects of Spartan life.
