In this video, I’m taking a deep look at the Austrian Audio OC-S10, a flagship condenser microphone with some genuinely unusual ideas built into it: two XLR outputs, a frameless metal-foam pop filter, and free plugin tools that let you reshape the mic’s behavior after recording.
Most premium microphones promise great sound, high-end build quality, and serious engineering. The OC-S10 has all of that, but what caught my attention was the workflow around dual-output recording. In Dual Mode, the mic can send the front and rear capsule signals separately, which opens up post-capture control over polar pattern, proximity effect, direct vs room balance, and even stereo image creation from a single microphone position.
